  Perhaps the clinic with medical and dental services, the food pantry and all are valuable services to the truly indigent but I had a different experience.
  
  I went in looking for information, a Senior Advocacy Group as I am experiencing a serious issue in my life. The woman at the counter should be trained to know some of the services in the area, perhaps a trained Social Worker or at least have one available, even if only at certain hours. What I got was handed a book with referrals that is not particularly up to date as it was published over 2 years ago and that I helped create for Suncoast United Way's 211 Services. I worked in Human Services for many years and this woman represented everything that is worst in the field, too many people simply marking time, collecting a paycheck, no compassion or interest in doing better. I was not impressed.
